Bucky What mutha fu$!ing Scumbag said! He said it all just about right. I'll add that while all these releases are only technically EPs they are triumphantly awesome and rival many full length outputs. There's also an underlying grunginess to the punky stoner abrasiveness Scumbag mentions.
Morts

Morts Hard rock with attitude! Kinda punky, kinda groovy, kinda garagey, a little psychedelia at times, plenty of stoner rock! The vocals are rather shouty some of the time (though far from being screamo, thankfully!) and that isn't always my cuppa tea, but in this case it works well, especially when there's a gravelly edge to it. The playing is pretty tight, yet retains a rawness to it as well. Love the axe solos! Well worth giving this album a go! Favorite track: Sundance.

From the East to the West until they take us away I've been fighting so long you know it's real Take me on, take me on to the fields we know Take me on, take me on to the fields oh no I can Hear you Breathing Exhale From the East to the West until they take us away We've been fighting so long you know it's real Take me on, take me on to the fields I know Take me on, take me on to the lands I know I can See you Breathing Exhale

Nothing 03:53
The Great Spirit stays the hand of the Barbarian Close all your eyes And open your mind Vanity real Evil of the worst kind I've lived a thousand lives And what hath god wrought If nothing is gained Then nothing is lost And nothing is gone And nothing is fine And nothing is wind And nothing is time Stop all the talk And open your fist Walk the grey walk Deep into the abyss I've lived a thousand lives And what hath god wrought If nothing is gained Then nothing is lost And nothing is gone And nothing is fine And nothing is wind And nothing is time And nothing is gone And nothing is fine And nothing is wind And nothing is time

Set Me Free 03:46
I seen the years go by And the people change Nothing hurts quite as bad, cause I've seen some people die And the times get strange You gotta stay yourself And all my tears run dry And my soul gets hard I found myself hatin' I held my brother close With his head undone Sometimes I wish it was me Set me free Set me free Let my spirit rise without replies To a life that hurt so deep I've seen the leaves get dry And they fall on down Seasons change each year I've seen how the wind it blows And I kept my nose clean It's been nearly two years And now I've broke some hearts And I've changed some lives I wonder what it's worth I held my brothers head He was finally dead Destination far from Earth Set me free Set me free Let my spirit rise without replies To a life that hurt so deep And she's wearing rags and feathers from Salvation Army counters Set me free Set me free Let my spirit rise without replies To a life that hurt so deep

Tomahawk 03:57
Bird, I saw you flying, flying on the wind I saw you flying up among your kin And your wings were spread And you were free Man, you were a child you were crying out No one to quench the thirst that you had found To which you're bound I can hear your sound and it's saddening Girl, you were burning you were all alone A flame burning with no fuel at all And your wings were broke And you needed me War, you killed my fathers and now you must die You're keeping children from their wings to fly Blot out the sky with poison eyes And it saddening War, you killed my fathers and now you must die You're keeping children from their wings to fly Blot out the sky with poison eyes And it saddening

Holy Moses 03:12
Oh God I got a notion I can feel me sinking deep Holy Moses won't you look on now I'm getting tired of losing sleep, yeah Holy Moses won't you look on down Won't you look down from your throne The burning bush it seems to speak to me And I'm feeling all alone, yeah

Sundance 03:46

Burial Mound 05:15
Above the mountain high Down in the valley low There is an eagle there And it will take your soul Down in the leaves of grass There lies a hate that grows And theres a man down there And he shall steal your soul And there ain't no man I know Who can control the wind He can fly his mighty sail Sail himself down straight to hell I traveled cross the land And found no seed of good There was a naked babe Among a pack of wolves Down in the fields of grey The wolves did raise a son His soul was made of clay He was the chosen one And there ain't no man I know Who can control the wind He can fly his mighty sail Sail himself down straight to hell Down in the leaves of grass There lies a hate that grows There is an eagle there And she will steal your soul There ain't no man I know Who controls the wind He can fly his mighty sail Sail himself down straight to hell
